TAYLOR

I’m a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland who works with individuals and couples using a blend of evidence-based and experiential methods. My approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt, and mind–body tools, including clinical hypnosis when appropriate.
While I hold advanced certifications as a hypnosis instructor, my work today centers on helping clients navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions through therapy that is grounded and focused on meaningful change.
My Passion
I’ve always been drawn to the practice of what makes us better as human beings. This includes aligning our thoughts, behaviors, and attitudes in a way that brings us closer to our goals. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients navigating anxiety, disconnection, and periods of profound transition, helping them reconnect to their values and inner clarity.
My passion lies in creating space for people to slow down, go deeper, and rediscover parts of themselves they may have lost touch with. This includes repairing a relationship, making hard decisions, or making lifestyle changes.

My Philosophies
Client-centered: Change begins within the person, each person has untapped wisdom, and that we can take specific, actionable steps to achieve our goals.
Pragmatic: Doing what works, and sorting for what makes the most difference in people’s lives.
Welcoming: Diversity is important and I welcome working with people of all age groups, races, ethnicities, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, and levels of ability.
Open-minded, Evidence-based: Considering all options but taking into strong consideration what available evidence and scientific inquiry have presented as being true.
Artful: Making shifts in one’s life should occur in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
My Background
Before beginning my clinical training as a therapist, I spent over a decade working in the fields of hypnosis and coaching, where I conducted more than 6,000 sessions focused on behavior change, stress relief, and emotional resilience. I also developed and led training programs for practitioners in areas such as subconscious change work, metaphor-based coaching, and client communication.
I now bring that experience into my psychotherapy practice, offering an integrative approach rooted in clinical training, humanistic psychology, and evidence-based methods like ACT and the Gottman Method.
I’ve presented at national conferences, including the National Institutes of Health, on topics such as self-hypnosis, pain management, and therapeutic communication. These approaches now inform the work I do with clients, and they are integrated into therapy when appropriate.
